Oct. 1, 2026 at 10:20am (EDT)

Greenwich Hospital recently honored Bill Deutsch, founder of Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, with its Luminate Health and Medicine Award, recognizing his volunteer leadership, philanthropy, and commitment to the community.

While Bill is widely recognized for his professional accomplishments, his impact on Greenwich extends far beyond business. For decades, he and his family have supported organizations that play a central role in community life, including Greenwich Hospital, the Bruce Museum, Breast Cancer Alliance, and numerous charitable and educational initiatives through the William J. and Frances E. Deutsch Charitable Foundation.

Hospital leadership recognized Bill not only for his generosity, but also for helping inspire support for programs and research across key areas such as oncology, heart and vascular care, neuroscience, children's health, and behavioral health through Greenwich Hospital's Arc of Care Campaign.

The recognition culminated with the Town of Greenwich proclaiming September 28 as William J. Deutsch Day, honoring his longstanding commitment to strengthening the community where he lives and works.
