GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Following a breakout summer debut, Protein Pints, the fast-growing high-protein ice cream brand, is bringing Protein Pops to Target and all of Kroger's Family of Stores this month. The brand's high-protein ice cream bars are rolling out at Target this week, with Kroger following September 13.
Protein Pops debuted in June as Protein Pints' first major expansion beyond pints, bringing the brand's protein-forward approach to ice cream into a convenient, individually portioned format with 10g of protein per pop. The launch saw immediate consumer interest, with initial online inventory selling through in less than eight hours, exceeding online projections by more than 10X. The bars have since continued to build momentum at Sprouts Farmers Market stores throughout the summer.
"From the response we saw within the first few hours of launch, it was clear consumers were excited to get everything they love about Protein Pints in a convenient new format," said Paul Reiss, co-founder and CEO of Protein Pints. "Bringing Protein Pops to Target and all Kroger Divisions means significantly more people can now find them during their everyday grocery run, and it's an exciting next step as we continue offering people more frozen options to enjoy eating their protein".
Available in Caramel Crunch, Vanilla Crunch, Peanut Butter Crunch and Mint Crunch, Protein Pops feature creamy, high-protein ice cream dipped in a rich, crispy, quinoa-studded milk chocolate coating. Each bar delivers 10 grams of complete protein, 180–190 calories and at least 75% less sugar than traditional ice cream, with no artificial sweeteners. The bars are made with natural ingredients, are gluten-free and contain all nine essential amino acids.
The expanding footprint of Protein Pops marks a new chapter for this fast-growing line extension, increasing availability to more than 4,000 retail locations nationwide by mid-September. Designed for everyday enjoyment, from an afternoon snack to post-workout fuel or an evening treat, Protein Pops open the brand to new occasions while delivering the same balance of protein and indulgence that has fueled Protein Pints' rapid rise.
Protein Pops are now available nationwide at Target and Sprouts Farmers Market, with Kroger's Family of Stores availability beginning September 13.
