Good Greed, the gut-friendly candy brand made with real fruit and nothing artificial, is scaling up after selling through nearly all of its first production run just months after launch.
Founded by Sabrina Grand, Carolyn Tang, and Alana Picov, Good Greed started with a pretty simple problem: three health-conscious girls with stomach problems who couldn’t find a better-for-you candy that actually tasted good and didn’t wreck their stomachs.
After two years of R&D, the founders developed Good Greed alongside registered dietitian Abbey Sharp. The result is a low-sugar gummy made with real fruit, 9g of prebiotic fiber, and nothing artificial, without sugar alcohols or allulose.
The completely bootstrapped brand launched earlier this year both DTC and at Pop Up Grocer in New York. Good Greed is now sold in more than 50 doors across New York, Chicago, Georgia, and Texas, including Pop Up Grocer, Happier Grocery, Foxtrot, and The Shelf.
The response has moved faster than the founders expected. Good Greed has sold out multiple times online and at retail, with velocities reaching 7-10x category benchmarks at Happier Grocery and Pop Up Grocer. The brand has also generated more than 2.6 million organic TikTok views and multiple earned media placements, all with $0 CAC and $0 trade spend. Online, 46% of revenue comes from repeat customers despite no email marketing and $0 marketing spend.
“We basically made the candy we wanted and turned it into a company,” said co-founder Sabrina Grand. “We’re honestly blown away by the response so far. We feel like we’ve found product-market fit. Now it’s time to bring Good Greed nationwide.”
The company is now scaling production to keep up with demand and launching two new flavors in Q4: Sour Apple and Sour Watermelon. After seeing how much consumers love sour, Good Greed is doubling down on the category while staying true to its ethos: gut-friendly candy made with real fruit and nothing artificial. The brand is also preparing to launch on Amazon and TikTok Shop as inventory comes back online.
The next phase of growth will mark another first for the founders. After building the company entirely bootstrapped, Good Greed is entering the early stages of its first outside fundraise to support increased production, distribution, and national expansion.
