Branch & Barrel Distilling just scored four medals at the Bartenders Spirits Awards and two at the SIP Awards. These accolades, which represent the pinnacle of industry and consumer recognition, respectively, are the latest in a string of wins for the makers of the best damn bourbon in Colorado.
“We’re pleased to see Colorado bourbon gaining recognition among spirits lovers everywhere. Our state’s elevation, climate, Rocky Mountain water, and local grains result in distinctive spirits that stand out,” said Mitchell Nester, Branch & Barrel’s Master Blender.
Awards from the Bartenders Spirits Awards are powerful endorsements for a spirit-maker’s quality, judged by the industry professionals who know best. Branch & Barrel earned gold medals for Cherry Port and High Rye Bourbon, and silver medals for Wheated Bourbon and 3-year Colorado Straight Bourbon.
Branch & Barrel also took home two awards from the SIP Awards, which stands apart as the only internationally recognized consumer-judged spirits competition, catering to the opinions and palates of the discerning public. Branch & Barrel took home a double gold medal for Made in the Shade II, a single barrel expression of their Flagship Bourbon recipe, and a gold medal for High Rye Bourbon.
As Colorado spirits continue to make headlines, Branch & Barrel’s bourbons are setting the standards for Colorado-made quality and rising to the top of the industry’s most prestigious competitions.
