818 Tequila is seeing strong momentum following its strategic partnership with Sazerac, which combines Sazerac’s U.S. distribution capabilities and commercial expertise with 818’s distinctive brand and consumer following. With Sazerac’s exclusive U.S. distribution of 818 now fully ramped, the brand’s first Nielsen read since announcing the partnership shows significant growth and continued share gains.

In the latest four weeks ending September 5, 818 grew +73% YoY in volume sales, significantly outpacing the $25+ tequila category, which declined -0.4%. Its core expressions are also outperforming their respective segments, with 818 Blanco up +58% versus the Blanco segment at -1%, and 818 Reposado up +122% versus the Reposado segment at +3%.

The momentum extends beyond Nielsen, with August marking 818’s largest depletions month ever and the brand on pace to deliver its largest year since launch.

The results offer an early look at 818’s next phase of growth as the brand and Sazerac work together to expand distribution, strengthen retail presence and bring 818 to more consumers across the U.S.
