SAUSALITO, Calif. — July 14, 2026 — Best Day Brewing, the second-largest independent non-alcoholic (NA) craft brewer in the country, took home Best in Show for its Wild American Pilsner in the first-ever North American Nonalcoholic Cup, hosted by Craft Beer & Brewing. Best Day’s Hazy IPA also medaled in the competition’s debut year.
Best Day's Wild American, the brand's non-alcoholic American pilsner, took home Best in Show, the competition’s top overall honor, along with Double Gold in the lager category. Best Day's Hazy IPA also earned Bronze in the hoppy beer category. American-style lagers are notoriously difficult to brew without alcohol, and the wins affirm Best Day's ability to deliver both classic, easy-drinking styles and hop-forward favorites without sacrificing taste.
“Winning Double Gold and Best in Show is an incredible honor because it recognizes exactly what we set out to brew: a great non-alcoholic light lager,” said Tate Huffard, Founder and CEO of Best Day Brewing. “Wild American is crafted with American ingredients and just 33 calories, so it belongs anywhere and anytime people want to enjoy a great beer.”
“It’s an honor for Wild American and Hazy IPA to be recognized,” said Jeremy Rudolf, Head of Product at Best Day Brewing. “Wild American had to nail the clean, crisp character of a classic pilsner with nowhere to hide, and our Hazy IPA had to deliver the same juicy, hop-forward profile drinkers expect from the style. These results reflect the state-of-the-art brewing process we’ve built to get every batch right.”
The wins come as Best Day continues to expand its footprint, with retail doors climbing each month, now up 20% from 2025. Best Day’s overall growth is up 30% in chain grocery and liquor segments, according to the same data. The momentum also reflects broader growth in the category: Dollar sales of nonalcoholic beverages grew 159% from 2021 to 2025, according to the Brewers Association.
Best Day Brewing's award-winning lineup, including Wild American and Hazy IPA, can be found in Best Day’s Classic and IPA Variety Packs, and is available at retail and hospitality locations nationwide and at bestdaybrewing.com.
