SqueakyWheel® launches three wine-based ready-to-drink cocktails that taste like vacation — 6% ABV, no artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners. California-made. Festival-ready. Now pouring.
If you’ve ever cracked open a canned cocktail and thought, “What am I actually drinking?” — SqueakyWheel was made for you. Launching across Northern California, SqueakyWheel is a new wine-based ready-to-drink cocktail brand with three flavors: Squeakyrita (Baja Lime with Salt), Squeakytiki (Tropical Fruit Punch), and Squeakyspritz (Bright & Bitter Orange). Each one is crafted at 6% ABV with no artificial sweeteners, no artificial flavors, and no artificial colors. No asterisks.
The brand is the brainchild of three Northern California partners — Theresa Scripps, Jesse Giambroni, and Johanna Pino — who looked at a ready-to-drink market dominated by overly sweet seltzers and spirit-heavy cans and decided to do something different. Something that actually tastes great.
“Tastes like vacation.” — SqueakyWheel taster, 2026.
SqueakyWheel starts where most RTDs don’t — with a California white wine blend produced by fifth-generation vintner Paul Scotto of Scotto Cellars and Creative Carbonation. The result is a drink with complexity, balance, and the kind of flavor that holds up past the first sip. Lower alcohol means you stay in the game. Real ingredients mean you feel good about it. Portable cans mean you can go anywhere.
The brand has already been pouring at events and festivals across Northern California, and the reaction has been consistent:
“Wow. This tastes really good — you’ve got something here.” — SqueakyWheel tasters, 2025 and 2026
“Most RTDs optimize for cost or buzz. We optimize for taste and repeat. We wanted to make the drink you actually want in your hand — something that tastes real, feels balanced, and keeps you present for the whole occasion.” — Theresa Scripps, Co-Founder, SqueakyWheel.
THE MARKET AGREES: According to NielsenIQ, for the 52 weeks ended December 27, 2025, dollar sales of wine-based cocktails surged 30% to $1.2 billion in off-premise channels — including grocery, drug, mass merchandise, dollar, convenience, and liquor stores. That follows similar growth in the year prior, with Impact Databank reporting that wine-based RTDs were the only wine type to increase in volume and gain share in 2024, reaching a growing 3.3% stake. Wine RTDs reached approximately 15 million 9-liter cases in 2025, up from 12 million cases the year prior. SqueakyWheel is entering this segment at exactly the right moment.
SqueakyWheel’s 2026 event calendar spans more than a dozen festivals, brewfests, charity rides, and golf events across California — from NIMBASH to the Lodi Wine Festival, Rocklin Brewfest, Lost & Found Gravel Festival, and Tahoe Brewfest.
“You’re squeakin’ my language.” — Squeakytiki taster, 2025
“We have the production infrastructure, the winemaking depth, and the national relationships to scale this brand responsibly. SqueakyWheel is exactly what the market has been waiting for.” — Paul Scotto, Winemaker, Scotto Cellars & Creative Carbonations
