The OG plant-based protein bar is back with a new chapter and a formula that goes beyond protein
Protein bars have long been a numbers game, but now we’re looking beyond protein alone. No Cow is putting a new equation on the bar: Protein + Fiber + Plant – Sugar – Whey = No Cow.
With 20g+ of plant protein, 14–17g of fiber and just 1g of sugar in many varieties, No Cow delivers the combination today’s protein-conscious audience is looking for, without whey or dairy. And at 60g, it’s a substantial, satisfying bar designed to feel like food.
No Cow was one of the original plant-based protein bars, launched in 2015 and quickly building a following in fitness, natural and specialty food. Now the bars are being reintroduced with the same nutritional foundation and an improved recipe for better taste and texture.
“No Cow has always had a very simple idea behind it: give people serious protein and fiber without whey, dairy or a lot of sugar, and make it something they actually want to eat,” said Keith Bearden, CEO of Alter Eco Foods. “The protein-bar category has changed a lot since No Cow first launched, but the equation still makes sense. In many ways, the market has finally caught up with what No Cow was doing.”
The bars combine pea and brown rice protein, providing all nine essential amino acids, with substantial fiber and very little sugar. They are dairy-free, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and Non-GMO Project Verified.
The lineup includes Peanut Butter Cup, Cookie Dough, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Birthday Cake and Cookies 'N Cream, as well as dipped varieties including Chocolate Salted Caramel and Key Lime Pie.
The idea behind No Cow is straightforward: protein is important, but it isn’t the whole story. Fiber matters. Ingredients matter. Sugar matters. Taste matters. And so does having a bar substantial enough to actually satisfy.
No Cow protein bars are available at NoCow.com, Amazon and select retailers nationwide including Whole Foods Market, Vitamin Shoppe, CVS and more. Visit NoCow.com for the store locator and current availability.
