BobaVida Enters RTD with ORBA Popping Boba

Suggested retail is $11.99 per four-pack (12 fl oz each), with six four-packs per case.
The tea-base SKUs carry 45 calories and 5g prebiotic fiber; coconut water SKUs run 70 calories and 5g fiber.

The U.S. RTD tea market is projected to grow from $13.72 billion in 2026 to $17.61 billion by 2031, per Mordor Intelligence.
BobaVida, the Mount Vernon, Missouri supplier behind what it claims is America's top-selling popping pearl ingredient, is crossing into the finished-beverage aisle with ORBA, a ready-to-drink popping boba launching to retail and foodservice accounts.
The product arrives in a 12 fl oz resealable stand-up pouch with a screw cap — a format designed for impulse grab-and-go and repeat consumption. Four launch SKUs span two base styles: Raspberry Dragon Fruit Black Tea and Strawberry Lemonade Green Tea on the tea side; Mango Passion Fruit Green Tea and Lime in the Coconut Water Refresher rounding out the lineup. Suggested retail is $11.99 per four-pack, with six four-packs per case. Caloric load runs 45 calories and 5g prebiotic fiber on the tea base, 70 calories and 5g fiber on the coconut water build. Sweetening comes from natural sugars and monk fruit; no artificial sweeteners, no sugar alcohols, no corn syrup.
Market Backdrop
Popping boba has tracked steadily from specialty bubble-tea shops into mainstream grocery and convenience, carried by Gen Z shoppers who grew up on the format. The U.S. ready-to-drink tea segment — the broadest competitive shelf set for ORBA — was valued at $13.72 billion in 2026 and is projected to reach $17.61 billion by 2031, according to Mordor Intelligence. The RTD boba sub-segment has attracted packaged-goods incumbents, but BobaVida's entry argues category credibility: the company manufactures the popping pearls used across the foodservice and retail supply chain before putting them into its own finished drink. That vertical integration is uncommon among emerging RTD brands and could matter to buyers evaluating supply-chain reliability.
Scott J. Van Rixel, President of Boh Bah Inc., parent company of BobaVida, framed the launch as a direct response to distributor and trade demand: "We've shipped millions of units to thousands of homes and businesses, and every retailer and creator kept asking the same question: when is the drink coming? This is the drink. Nobody knows the pearl like we do, and you taste it in the first sip."
Production & Distribution
ORBA is manufactured domestically at BobaVida's 44,000-square-foot Missouri facility. Benjamin Masters, Ph.D., Managing Member of BobaVida, cited domestic capacity as a deliberate strategic asset: "Our Missouri facility gives us the capacity, quality control, and responsiveness to support national retail growth. We make it ourselves, we're taking pre-orders now. Shelf life is 14 months shelf-stable, best served chilled — a spec that supports both ambient grocery sets and cold-box foodservice placement without requiring refrigerated logistics from the manufacturer."
A limited clear-RTD-can format, including an exclusive Ube Cotton Candy Cooler flavor, is debuting at Jungle Jim's International Market in early October ahead of the broader rollout. The brand claims distribution in more than 5,000 stores nationally for its popping pearl ingredient line, giving the sales team existing buyer relationships to leverage at launch. BobaVida is also activating a TikTok Shop affiliate program with thousands of creators and, by its account, tens of millions of views — a demand-generation layer increasingly relevant for emerging beverage brands competing for retail shelf space. Geo-targeted digital advertising tied to stocking retailers is planned to begin the week product hits shelves.
