From authentic Italian aperitivo and charcuterie boards to chef-created recipes, Veroni, the leading Italian charcuterie brand in the U.S. pre-sliced deli meats category*, is expanding the ways consumers can enjoy its products across the country. Building on its role as an ambassador of Italian aperitivo and conviviality, the brand is now bringing its charcuterie into American kitchens, showing how its cured meats can become the star ingredient in creative, high-quality recipes for everyday cooking. This evolution comes to life through Veroni’s latest U.S. collaborations with Chef Fabio Viviani and Alberto Marcolongo, two complementary voices who bring the brand’s culinary heritage to life through recipes designed to inspire American consumers.
Fifteen recipes designed to bring creativity, flavor, and Italian culture into the everyday lives and convivial moments of Americans who recognize Italian food culture as an unparalleled added value. Viviani’s culinary artistry ranges from Coppa & Mozzarella Arancini to Mortadella & Pistachio Smashburger, with Prosciutto Stuffed Tortelloni along the way, and stands out for his ability to reinterpret American dishes and eating habits with an authentic Italian touch. His direct, informal, and friendly style pairs perfectly with that of Italian chef Alberto Marcolongo, whose contemporary approach combines Italian culinary tradition with simple, visually compelling recipes designed for today’s audience. Together with Veroni, Marcolongo puts a fresh, contemporary spin on the brand’s Italian charcuterie, transforming its cured meats into approachable dishes that are easy to recreate and designed to inspire everyday cooking.
One example is the Crunchy Millefeuille “Salumi & Focaccia”, a recipe that celebrates Italian tradition through a contemporary, crispy, and convivial presentation.
“In the U.S., we want to continue introducing consumers to Italian charcuterie not only through its quality but also through its versatility,” says Emanuela Bigi, Marketing Manager at Veroni. “Our collaborations with Fabio Viviani and Alberto Marcolongo come from this idea: to show, through different creative approaches, how easy it is to incorporate our products into everyday cooking, turning even a familiar recipe into something with an authentic Italian touch.”
SLICES OF ITALY: NINE RECIPES BY CHEF FABIO VIVIANI
At the heart of Veroni’s collaboration with Chef Fabio Viviani, one of the best-known Italian chefs in the United States, is “Slices of Italy,” a series of nine original recipes that place Veroni products at the center of dishes designed to be gourmet in flavor, yet easy to recreate at home.
Born and raised in Florence, Viviani moved to the United States in 2005 to build his career in hospitality. He rose to national prominence through Bravo’s “Top Chef,” where he became a fan favorite, and has since established himself as a chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, and television personality. Today, Fabio Viviani Hospitality operates around three dozen restaurants, bars and event spaces across the U.S. and serves more than 10 million meals each year.
With “Slices of Italy,” Viviani brings that perspective to Veroni, creating recipes that combine chef-level quality with the ease and accessibility of home cooking. Through his distinctive storytelling style, he shows American consumers how Veroni products can become the starting point for dishes that feel special without being complicated to prepare.
The series kicks off with Salumi Stuffed Roasted Zucchini Boats, featuring Veroni’s best-selling Enjoy Aperitivo line, which offers three curated combinations of cured meats, cheese, olives, nuts, dried fruit, and breadsticks.
The series continues with the Mortadella & Pistachio Smashburger, bringing Veroni Mortadella to one of America’s great culinary classics, followed by Mortadella Garlic Bread, Hot Honey Pepper Salame Crostini, Delicata Squash with Prosciutto Arrosto & Burrata, Prosciutto Stuffed Tortelloni, Alpine Potato Tart, and Crispy Schiacciata Sandwich. The series wraps up with Veroni Coppa & Mozzarella Arancini, bringing together savory Coppa and Calabrese Salame with creamy mozzarella and pecorino.
Nine recipes, nine different ways to interpret Veroni charcuterie, and one shared message: Italian cuisine can be authentic while also being easy, contemporary, and close to the everyday habits of American consumers. Available exclusively across Veroni’s digital channels, the “Slices of Italy” series gives the brand’s U.S. audience direct access to Chef Viviani’s recipes and inspiration, bringing chef-level creativity and quality into the home kitchen.
ALBERTO MARCOLONGO: SIX RECIPES, AN ITALIAN TOUCH
Alongside the collaboration with Chef Viviani, Veroni is further expanding its digital storytelling through a partnership with Alberto Marcolongo, Italian chef represented by Zenzero Talent Agency, who brings a contemporary and creative approach to Italian cuisine across social media. Based in New York, Marcolongo works across culinary consulting and hospitality, offering a modern Italian perspective to both professional kitchens and digital audiences. His cooking is rooted in Italian tradition but expressed through a clean, contemporary, and highly visual style.
The partnership includes the creation and publication of six recipe videos, with the aim of showcasing new and original ways to use Veroni charcuterie and inspiring consumers to bring it into their own kitchens.
The series explores unexpected pairings that combine seasonality, creativity, and culinary tradition. Among the recipes are Grilled Apricot, Prosciutto & Salsa Verde, where Veroni Prosciutto meets the sweetness of apricot and the freshness of salsa verde; Crunchy Millefeuille “Salumi & Focaccia,” a contemporary reinterpretation of some of the flavors most closely associated with Italian tradition; and Open Tortelloni, Scamorza & Mortadella, a tribute to Italian pasta with Veroni Mortadella at the heart of the filling.
The journey through Italian flavors continues with Risotto, Zucca & Salame Sauté, where Veroni salame adds a distinctive crispy element to the dish; Turkey Roll, Prosciutto & Mushroom Filling, combining Veroni Prosciutto with a mushroom filling; and Celeriac and Mixed Charcuterie Wellington, a creative take on the classic Wellington featuring an assortment of Veroni charcuterie.
While Chef Viviani interprets Italian charcuterie through the lens of a chef, Marcolongo brings a contemporary culinary perspective to recipes, pairings, and ideas that are visually engaging and easy to recreate in everyday kitchens. Together, the two collaborations showcase the versatility of Veroni charcuterie across different recipes, ingredients, and occasions, while keeping its connection to Italian culinary tradition at the heart of every creation.
FROM APERITIVO TO THE AMERICAN TABLE
The two collaborations are part of a broader strategy through which Veroni is working to expand the occasions in which Italian charcuterie is enjoyed across the United States. After building a strong association with Italian aperitivo, charcuterie boards, and moments of conviviality, the brand is now bringing its products even closer to everyday cooking, demonstrating how they can be used as versatile ingredients across a wide range of recipes.
The quality and tradition behind Veroni’s products meet the tastes, habits, and rituals of American consumers. This approach allows Veroni to tell the story of Made in Italy not as something distant or reserved for special occasions, but as something that can naturally become part of everyday life.
It is precisely at this intersection of culinary cultures that Veroni’s vision of the Italian Dolce Vita takes shape: not simply a moment to celebrate, but a way of enjoying food rooted in quality, creativity, and conviviality.
