Made with organic, specialty-grade Arabica beans and the chemical-free Swiss Water Process, the new dark roast expands Cambio’s lineup of coffee in infinitely recyclable aluminum pods

CHARLESTON, S.C. (2026) — Cambio Roasters, the coffee brand rethinking the single-serve category with organic coffee packaged in infinitely recyclable aluminum pods, today announced the launch of Dark Decaf, a bold new dark roast created for coffee drinkers who want full-bodied flavor without the caffeine. Launching in celebration of National Coffee Day, Dark Decaf expands Cambio’s growing lineup as the brand continues to bring a new approach to one of coffee’s biggest convenience categories.

Made with organic, high-grown Arabica coffee beans, Dark Decaf uses the Swiss Water Process, a 100% chemical-free method that naturally removes 99.9% of the caffeine while preserving the coffee’s distinctiveness and complexity. The result is a deeply developed dark roast with notes of dark chocolate, toasted walnuts, and caramelized sugar, finished with a hint of smokiness.

“At Cambio, we don’t believe choosing decaf should mean compromising on the coffee experience,” said Kevin Hartley, co-founder and CEO of Cambio Roasters. “We created Dark Decaf for people who love the richness and depth of a dark roast but want less caffeine, whether that’s their preference all day or simply after their first cup. National Coffee Day felt like the perfect time to give decaf drinkers something new to celebrate, too.”

Dark Decaf joins Cambio’s expanding portfolio of 100% organic coffee, including its recently launched Half-Caff. The launch comes amid continued retail growth for the brand, which recently expanded into more than 1,400 Publix stores, bringing Cambio’s aluminum coffee pods to more consumers nationwide.

Co-founded by Hartley, a former Keurig executive who helped scale the single-serve coffee category, Cambio was built to rethink what the next generation of coffee pods could look like. Rather than traditional plastic, Cambio packages its coffee in aluminum pods designed for Keurig® brewers. The pods are infinitely recyclable and designed to better protect coffee from light and oxygen while maintaining the convenience consumers expect from single-serve brewing.

The company operates under a triple-bottom-line model centered on people, planet, and profit, pairing quality coffee and product innovation with a commitment to supporting coffee-farming communities as the business grows.

Cambio Dark Decaf is available beginning September 29 at CambioRoasters.com and on Amazon.
