Música Tequila Strikes a Chord: World’s First Music-Driven Tequila House Builds Momentum with Award-Winning Releases, Top Industry Recognition and New Grand Reserva

Two Double Gold honors, standout Wine Enthusiast scores and an upcoming 36-month Extra Añejo mark a significant milestone for the premium craft tequila brand

FORT MYERS, FL. — September 23, 2026 — Música Tequila is hitting a new note in the young brand's growth. The family-owned, premium craft tequila brand is celebrating a wave of momentum driven by critical acclaim, stellar industry ratings and the highly anticipated drop of its most exclusive spirit yet — a highly limited 36-month Grand Reserva Extra Añejo.

Founded by Chris and Geri Andrews, the world’s first music-driven tequila house is rapidly capturing national attention through a series of major milestones:

·      Double Gold recognition. Música’s Rock Reposado High Proof Reserva has earned Double Gold honors, adding to the brand’s growing collection of awards.

·      Wine Enthusiast acclaim. Four Música expressions have earned scores ranging from 92 to 95 points from Wine Enthusiast, a leading wine and spirits publication.

·      A new collector’s expression. Música is preparing to introduce its first Grand Reserva Extra Añejo, a highly limited 36-month expression representing the brand’s most exclusive release to date.

“Each of these milestones represents a different part of what we set out to build with Música,” said Chris Andrews, co-founder and owner of Music Spirits. “The Reservas give Hugo and me the opportunity to explore tequila creatively through music, the Wine Enthusiast scores recognize the quality and consistency across our portfolio, and Grand Reserva shows where that journey can go when you add another essential ingredient — time.”

“For us, what makes this especially meaningful is seeing all the pieces of Música coming together,” said Geri Andrews, co-founder and owner of Music Spirits. “From the beginning, we wanted to build something authentic that brought together exceptional tequila, our lifelong connection to music and a commitment to supporting music education and independent musicians. We're seeing consumers and the industry respond not only to our story, but to the quality inside the bottle.”

Rock Reserva Earns Two Double Golds

Música's newest limited release, Rock Reposado High Proof Reserva, is the third expression in its genre-inspired Reserva collection, following Blues Reserva Añejo and Techno Plata High Proof Reserva.

Limited to only 732 bottles, the 90-proof Reposado is aged for at least three months in Hungarian oak and has already earned two Double Gold medals in 2026 — from the SIP Awards and Agavos Awards.

Rock Reserva is available now in Florida, Michigan, online, and Connecticut.

Four Música Tequilas Score 92–95 Points from Wine Enthusiast

Música has also earned standout recognition across its portfolio from Wine Enthusiast, with four expressions receiving scores between 92 and 95 points:

Música Añejo — 95 Points

Música Blues Reserva Añejo — 94 Points

Música Blanco — 93 Points

Música Reposado — 92 Points

Leading the results is Música Añejo at 95 points, featured in the publication's October 2026 Buying Guide, which is now available. The Buying Guide describes the Añejo with roasted jalapeño and char characteristics followed by lingering notes of butterscotch, vanilla and oak.

The four scores provide recognition across Música's core portfolio and its highly limited Reserva collection.

Música Introduces Its First Grand Reserva Extra Añejo

Looking ahead, Música is preparing to introduce the pinnacle of its collection: its first Grand Reserva Extra Añejo, a highly limited collector's expression aged for at least 36 months.

Grand Reserva spends its first two years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, followed by a full final year in Hungarian oak. During that final year, Música turned toward the musical traditions of México through its proprietary Música Audio Infusion process as a tribute to the country, culture and heritage of tequila.

Presented in a collector's bottle featuring original Mexican-inspired artwork, Grand Reserva brings together tequila, music and art in Música's most ambitious expression to date.

Three years. Two woods. The music of México.

Música Grand Reserva Extra Añejo is scheduled for release in November 2026, with highly limited allocations in select markets and online.

Agave. Water. Music. Time.™

Crafted from 100% Blue Weber agave in Amatitán, Jalisco, México, Música brings together generations of Mexican tequila-making knowledge with the founders' backgrounds in music, audio, engineering, finance, marketing and product development.

The tequila-making collaboration between co-founder Chris Andrews and Maestro Tequilero Hugo Yerenas Domínguez represents what Música describes as two worlds coming together around one vision — respecting the traditions and heritage of tequila while exploring the role music can play in its creative and maturation journey.

Music is incorporated through the proprietary Música Audio Infusion System, forming the foundation of Música's position as the World's First Music-Driven Tequila House.

The philosophy is captured in four words:
