This fall, Goldwater Brewing Co. is turning its taprooms into the ultimate Bavarian beer gardens. The family owned brewery has announced its 2026 Oktoberfest event series, a three part celebration spanning all three of its valley locations throughout the months of September and October.
Each taproom will feature a lineup of German inspired beer releases brewed specifically for the season. Guests can look forward to traditional stein holding contests with prizes for the winners across all locations, German inspired fare served up by Sandwich Apprentice, and live entertainment.
The 2026 Oktoberfest Lineup:
Saturday, September 26: The Kickoff at the Crossings Taproom in South Tempe
Saturday, October 17: Round Two at the Longbow Taproom in East Mesa
Saturday, October 24: The Grand Finale at the Old Town Scottsdale Brewery & Taproom
German Inspired Craft Beer & Fare:
At the heart of the celebration is the beer. Goldwater’s brew team will be releasing a lineup of exclusive, traditional German style beers crafted specifically for the series including:
Altbier - Traditional German Style Amber Ale - 5%
Spicegeist Pumpkin Spice Altbier - German Style Amber Ale Brewed With Pumpkin Spice 5%
Festbier - Traditional Festbier - 5.8%
Hundred Dollar Pils - German Pilsner - 4.6%
Hefeweizen - German Style Unfiltered Wheat Beer - 6%
Helles Lager - German Style Helles Lager - 5.0%
To pair with the seasonal drops, local Arizona culinary standout, Sandwich Apprentice, will have a pop-up at all three locations, serving a custom menu of German inspired fare from 2-7pm.
Steins, Prizes, and Live Entertainment:
Patrons are encouraged to bring their strength to the taproom for traditional stein holding competitions at each location’s event, with exclusive prizes awarded to the longest holds. Live DJ sets will keep the party going from 2-6pm across all locations.
About Goldwater Brewing Co.:
Goldwater Brewing Co. began with a family tradition of brewing, rooted in Chad and Dillon McClelland’s childhood experiences with their father, Greg, an avid home brewer since 1986. What started as a hobby in their garage evolved into a shared passion, leading to the establishment of a 10bbl brewery with three locations. The turning point came when Chad, inspired by his travels through craft beer scenes worldwide, decided to turn their family passion into a professional endeavor. With full support from Greg, Dillon, and Jimmy Disken, the family set out to build their dream. After months of planning, experimenting, and overcoming challenges, Goldwater Brewing Co. officially opened its doors on May 1, 2015. Their success stems from the combined strengths of each member: Greg’s business acumen, Chad’s brewing expertise, Dillon’s creative vision, and Jimmy’s operational skills. Together, they’ve built a brand known for quality, innovation, and community. As they continue to grow and introduce new, exciting beers, the family remains committed to their roots and the people who have supported them from the start.
