SIX NEW ENGLAND BREWERIES JOIN FORCES WITH XTRATUF TO LAUNCH “HANGTUF,” A COLLABORATIVE NEW ENGLAND IPA
Six breweries. Six states. One New England IPA. A collaboration celebrating the resilience, community, and character of New England.
WESTBROOK, Maine — September 2026 — HANGTUF started with a simple idea: bring together brewers from across New England to create something that celebrates the place we call home, the people who make it special, and the shared spirit that continues to shape craft beer throughout the region.
In partnership with XTRATUF, six breweries—one representing each New England state—came together to create HANGTUF, a collaborative New England IPA:
Mast Landing Brewing Co. — Maine
Garrison City Beerworks — New Hampshire
Foam Brewers — Vermont
Tilted Barn Brewery — Rhode Island
Vitamin Sea Brewing — Massachusetts
Fox Farm Brewery — Connecticut
Each brewery brings its own perspective, personality, and approach to brewing while sharing a deep connection to New England and the culture that surrounds craft beer here.
A New England IPA felt like the natural choice for the project. Born in this region and influential far beyond it, the style has become an unmistakable part of New England’s brewing identity. Brewed with Elani, Citra, and Amarillo hops, HANGTUF is a bright, expressive, and hop-forward 6.8% ABV New England IPA that brings six breweries and six unique perspectives together in a beer that feels distinctly at home here.
A PARTNERSHIP ROOTED IN NEW ENGLAND
At the heart of the project is the partnership with XTRATUF. For generations, XTRATUF has created gear for people whose lives are shaped by the water, the outdoors, and working with their hands. That ethos feels right at home in the brewing world.
From long days in the brewhouse to weekends on the coast, days on the water, and everything in between, XTRATUF is woven into the lifestyle and character that make New England what it is.
That shared connection is what inspired HANGTUF.
RESILIENCE THROUGH COMMUNITY
There’s a resilience that defines the brewing community. Craft beer is constantly evolving, and brewers have always found ways to adapt, create, and move forward. But what makes this industry particularly special is that breweries rarely do it alone.
Brewers share knowledge, exchange ideas, lend a hand, and support one another. HANGTUF celebrates the idea that resilience isn’t simply about standing strong on your own—it’s about the people who stand alongside you.
Ultimately, craft beer has always been about more than what ends up in the glass. It’s about the people, places, and relationships built around it. HANGTUF gave six breweries from six different corners of New England the opportunity to come together, share what they love about the region, and create something that represents all of them.
The name itself is a nod to the shared attitude behind XTRATUF and New England’s brewing community: work hard, stay curious, embrace where you come from, and keep moving forward together.
HANGTUF is a celebration of New England—its brewing culture, its coastal character, and the people who spend their days making, creating, exploring, and enjoying everything this place has to offer.
