vandeStreek bier

Van De Streek Bier is a Dutch craft brewery producing a diverse range of specialty beers for the domestic and broader European market. Based in the Netherlands, the brewery is known for its innovative and varied portfolio that spans multiple beer styles, including IPAs, lagers, blond ales, sour beers, bock beers, barley wines, hazy session beers, cold IPAs, black IPAs, spiced blonds, and non-alcoholic options. The brewery places strong emphasis on hop-forward brewing, with products like Hopbock — a blond bock beer crafted with Columbus and Cascade hops delivering citrus character — exemplifying their technical approach to hop selection and recipe development.

The brewery actively engages with fresh hop brewing, a technique that uses freshly harvested, undried hops to impart vivid and nuanced flavors not achievable with traditional dried or pelletized hops. This commitment to fresh hop experimentation is reflected in their seasonal releases and festival participation, including dedicated fresh hop events and the broader craft beer festival circuit. Van De Streek Bier also produces gluten-free beer, demonstrating a capability to address specific dietary requirements within their brewing operation.

The company brews organic beer, indicated by educational content addressing what organic beer is and how it differs from conventional alternatives — suggesting at minimum partial organic production or strong consumer positioning in that space. Their product range includes non-alcoholic variants such as the Bumper Non Alcoholic Blond, catering to the growing segment of consumers seeking reduced-alcohol options without sacrificing craft quality.

Van De Streek Bier is notable for its consumer education focus, maintaining an active blog and content platform covering brewing techniques, beer style explainers, and hop science — topics such as how sour beers are brewed, what hops do in beer, and the differences between packaging formats (can vs. bottle). This positions the brand strongly within the craft beer enthusiast community and supports both direct-to-consumer and specialty retail channels.

The brewery packages its beers in both cans and bottles, with content indicating active consideration of the merits of each format. Their taproom and local community presence is reflected in references to the Lombok neighborhood renewal and local event programming. The brewery participates in major beer festivals and organizes its own events, reinforcing its standing as an established player in the Dutch craft brewing landscape. With a growing product portfolio that includes limited and seasonal series alongside core offerings, Van De Streek Bier serves specialty beer retailers, on-trade accounts, and direct consumers.
