Triptych Brewing

Triptych Brewing is a craft brewery founded in 2013 and located in Savoy, Illinois, just outside of Champaign. The brewery was established by four families - the Benjamins, Altstetters, Voigtlanders, and Amachers - who share a vision of exploring the intersection of community and the art of beer brewing. The name 'Triptych' refers to a set of three associated artistic works intended to be enjoyed together, reflecting the brewery's emphasis on the artistic aspect of brewing and the three main raw ingredients used in making beer. Starting with just 500 square feet and a cobbled-together 3-barrel brew system, Triptych has grown significantly over the past decade. Today, the brewery operates from over 8,000 square feet of production space, featuring a modern 3-vessel, 15-barrel steam-powered brew system capable of producing almost anything their brewers can dream up. The facility, lovingly dubbed 'The Memery,' houses more than 300 barrels of up to 12 different beers fermenting at any given time. The brewery also maintains dozens of spirit barrels for aging beers, with the aging process taking between 8 and 24 months until deemed ready for blending and packaging. Triptych has produced more than 2 million cans of beer, packaging most of their products in 16-ounce cans on their automated canning line at a pace of just under 24 cans per minute. The brewery operates a taproom at 1703 Woodfield Dr. in Savoy, serving as a community gathering place where patrons can experience their diverse range of craft beers. The company's philosophy centers on the belief that while not every Triptych beer will be for everyone, there should be a Triptych beer for everyone. Their team includes founder Anthony Benjamin, owners Greg Altstetter, James Voigtlander, and Lyle Amacher, along with Head Brewer Luke Taggart and other dedicated staff members who contribute to the brewery's continued success in the craft beer industry.
