About

A Texas-based designer and manufacturer of industrial air-circulation equipment, the company builds high-volume, low-speed (HVLS) ceiling fans along with floor fans and oscillating wall-mount fans for commercial and industrial buildings. It was founded in 2019 by Phil and Kelly Eggers, who owned large barns and hangar buildings in North Texas that became unbearably hot in summer. Shopping for a solution, they found only low-cost imported fans that moved very little air or outdated domestic units whose difficult installations pushed total cost out of reach, so they assembled a group of fan engineers and designed their own line from a clean sheet. The stated design brief was a fan that is more powerful, more durable, less expensive, and easier to install than what the market offered. Operations are based in Plano, just north of Dallas, and the company ships flat-fee anywhere in the continental United States. The first product family was the SD shrouded series, a patented design that hangs from a ceiling on straps and can be aimed in any direction to cool a larger area. A floor fan series followed, positioned to move more air at lower cost and built to last for years rather than a single season. The flagship development effort was the HVLS ceiling fan, which took three years to engineer with a mix of outside fan engineers and AI-assisted design work. That fan uses a modern permanent-magnet direct-drive HVLS motor rather than a conventional gearbox drive, and its blades are injection-molded rather than the industry-standard extruded aluminum paddle blade. The move to injection molding let the design team build circulatory airfoil features directly into each blade, and the resulting fan is patented. Additional features are aimed at making the fan easier to install, maintain, and service in demanding industrial conditions. The HVLS ceiling line is sold in three configurations. The Commercial fan is a three-blade HVLS model built around large air movement, with pre-drilled telescoping down rods and pre-installed blade arms for straightforward installation; it is aimed at patios, machine shops, restaurants, event centers, gymnasiums, and similar commercial spaces. The Pro fan is a five-blade HVLS model for larger buildings and arenas, using a single hub to hold down weight and cost while covering large circulation areas on modest electrical draw. The HO Series is a six-blade, dual-hub-plane HVLS fan for the most demanding professional applications, separating the top three blades from the bottom three to improve efficiency and cut noise at very high airflow; it is marketed to manufacturing plants, warehousing, arenas, aircraft hangars, and automotive dealerships, and the dual-plane hub system is patented. A plus designation on the Commercial and Pro models denotes a higher-performance version sold only through the company's own website. The line was more recently rounded out with the Big Tex floor fans and the Twister oscillating wall-mount fans. End markets include warehouses and distribution centers, machine shops, aircraft hangars, agricultural barns, and arenas. Since 2019 the company reports thousands of fans installed and describes its positioning as overbuilt, overpowered, and underpriced, with an explicit focus on making air circulation affordable for employers whose workers are exposed to heat. It sells direct and continues to operate from North Texas.
