Its brand portfolio includes WKD, one of the UK's most recognizable RTD alcoholic beverage brands; bottlegreen, a premium range of elderflower cordials and pressés; Shloer, a non-alcoholic sparkling fruit drink with origins dating back to 1935 in Switzerland; and Merrydown, a heritage cider brand established in 1946. SHS Drinks also operates Caledonian Bottlers, a wholly-owned bottling subsidiary that handles production for its own brands as well as third-party customers, providing contract manufacturing and bottling capabilities. The company's history spans several decades and has been shaped by strategic acquisitions and brand development. Beverage Brands (UK) Ltd was founded in 1992, with SHS Group taking a controlling interest in 1993. Over the following years, the group acquired Merrydown PLC in 2005, bottlegreen Drinks in 2011, and formally established the SHS Drinks division in 2012, consolidating Beverage Brands, Merrydown, bottlegreen, and Caledonian Bottlers under one umbrella. SHS Drinks distributes its products through both the on-trade and off-trade channels across the UK and has historically extended distribution internationally, including a WKD launch in Canada in 1999. The company markets its brands across digital platforms and through major retail partnerships, with bottlegreen Elderflower Pressé recently entering Sainsbury's Front of Store Meal Deal in a new 330ml can format, demonstrating its capability to innovate in packaging and retail channel execution.
