River Remedy Brewing Co is a craft brewery located in historic downtown Rome, Georgia, at 241 Broad Street. Founded by a group of local residents — both natives and transplants who now call Rome home — the brewery is rooted in community involvement and a shared passion for quality craft beer. The establishment operates as a taproom-focused brewery, welcoming guests throughout the week with extended hours on weekends, making it a gathering place for both locals and visitors to the Northwest Georgia region. The name River Remedy reflects the brewery's dual mission: crafting quality beers while serving as a remedy for local causes. A defining characteristic of the business model is its commitment to donating a portion of every pint sold to local charities. The brewery rotates its charitable giving across a broad spectrum of causes, including environmental initiatives, veterans' organizations, arts programs, and other nonprofits that benefit the NW Georgia community. This community-first philosophy distinguishes River Remedy from traditional craft breweries and positions it as a socially engaged local business rather than simply a drinking establishment. As a taproom operation in a historic downtown setting, the brewery draws on the character and foot traffic of Rome's revitalized urban core. The taproom format suggests an on-premise consumption model with a focus on guest experience, community events, and rotating tap selections. The brewery communicates updates and event dates through social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, indicating an active and engaged customer outreach strategy. River Remedy Brewing Co represents the growing trend of community-oriented craft breweries that blend local flavor, small-batch beer production, and philanthropic giving into a cohesive brand identity.
