About
Reclamation Foods is a New York-based food producer specializing in small-batch, traditionally prepared bone broths made in the Korean style. The company sources bones exclusively from grass-fed, pasture-raised animals, adhering to a nose-to-tail, regenerative philosophy that prioritizes both nutritional quality and responsible sourcing.
Each batch is slow-cooked for 12 or more hours using only two ingredients — bones and water — to extract maximum collagen, gelatin, minerals, and amino acids, resulting in a product that is free from additives, preservatives, extracts, natural flavors, and fillers of any kind.
Unlike conventional shelf-stable broths, which are typically produced in the French or Italian style and often rely on short cook times supplemented by flavor extracts and colorings, Reclamation Foods produces a Korean-style bone broth that is milky white and opaque due to the natural emulsification of marrow, collagen, and proteins during the extended cooking process.
The resulting broth is rich enough in collagen and gelatin to gelatinize and jiggle when refrigerated — a quality marker the company positions as the clearest indicator of nutritional density and authentic preparation. The company claims to be the only shelf-stable bone broth on the market to consistently achieve this gelatinization.
Packaged in glass jars to avoid microplastics associated with plastic pouches and plastic-lined cartons common among competitors, Reclamation Foods emphasizes both product purity and packaging integrity. The broths are designed to be highly versatile, suitable for sipping with salt and aromatics, cooking grains and noodles, building soups and dumplings, and substituting for water in virtually any recipe.
The company's product positioning is centered on transparency and nutritional authenticity, targeting health-conscious consumers who seek functional foods with documented benefits such as gut and digestive health support, inflammation reduction, immune function, muscle recovery, joint health, skin elasticity, and improved sleep and cognitive function.
Reclamation Foods operates with a small-batch production model and is made entirely in New York, underscoring its commitment to artisanal quality over mass-market scale. Its regenerative sourcing approach and nose-to-tail utilization of animal bones further differentiate it within the premium bone broth category.
