Orinoco Coffee & Tea is a family-owned specialty coffee roasting and tea company with roots dating back to 1909, when founder Leonardo Alarcon began collecting and sorting coffee beans in southwest Venezuela. Now in its fourth generation of growers, exporters, importers, and roasters, the company operates out of Jessup, Maryland, and distributes products nationwide. Its heritage spans over a century of dedication to sourcing, roasting, and packaging premium coffees and teas for both retail and wholesale markets.

The company sources 100% Arabica coffee beans and fine tea leaves from renowned production regions across more than 30 countries, including Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Peru. Orinoco offers a wide range of roast profiles — from light and medium roasts to bold French roasts — as well as flavored coffees, espresso blends, decaffeinated options, and specialty teas. Products are custom roasted to order and immediately packaged in one-way valve foil bags to preserve freshness, aroma, and peak flavor.

Orinoco holds Fair Trade USA certification and offers a selection of certified organic products, including organic Fair Trade Arabica blends sourced from Ethiopia and Peru. These certifications reflect the company's commitment to responsible sourcing practices and transparent supply chains. The product lineup includes single-origin offerings such as Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and Organic Peru, alongside classic blends like Breakfast Blend, Mocha Java, and Decaf Mocha Java.

As a full-service coffee roasting company, Orinoco serves hundreds of retail accounts, local coffee shops, gourmet stores, and multi-store grocery chains across the United States.
