Om Sweet Home

Om Sweet Home is a Brooklyn, New York-based plant-based food company founded in May 2013 by Dawn Pascale, specializing in the production of a proprietary non-dairy butter alternative and vegan, gluten-free baked goods. Originally launched as a wholesale brand, the company quickly gained recognition among like-minded local businesses seeking high-quality, clean-ingredient products. Its flagship product — informally known as 'Bklyn Buttah' and officially marketed as Om Sweet Home Non-Dairy Butter — was the first-to-market butter alternative to be simultaneously nut-free, soy-free, and palm oil-free, setting it apart in the growing plant-based dairy alternatives category.

The non-dairy butter is formulated to perform as a true 1:1 replacement for conventional dairy butter across all culinary applications, including baking, laminated doughs, buttercreams, spreading, melting, and whipping. The product is made with clean, organic, plant-based ingredients and is free of dairy, animal cholesterol, additives, oils, gluten, soy, nuts, and palm oil. It carries Non-GMO credentials and is certified celiac-safe, making it a strong option for consumers and food professionals navigating multiple dietary restrictions simultaneously.

Om Sweet Home operates out of a dedicated, celiac-safe kitchen and previously ran a retail café from January 2017 until 2021, when the company returned to its wholesale roots. Today, the brand targets foodservice operators, bakeries, restaurants, hospitality businesses, and retail consumers through distribution via Webstaurantstore, available in both a foodservice format (10 lb cases of 1 lb trays) and retail consumer packs (6 lb cases of 8 oz units).

The company has cultivated a community of professional chefs, pastry artists, and artisan bakers who rely on its butter for professional-grade results in vegan and allergen-sensitive kitchens. Its product has earned strong endorsements from notable culinary voices for its performance in technically demanding applications such as laminated doughs and whipped frostings. As consumer demand for next-generation plant-based and allergen-friendly products continues to grow, Om Sweet Home positions its butter as a premium ingredient solution for foodservice and CPG brands looking to expand or elevate their plant-based offerings.
