Old Route 69 Brewery

Old Route 69 Brewery is a brewery, restaurant, and entertainment venue located in Ada, Ohio, combining craft beer, scratch food, and car culture into a family- and friends-oriented destination. The company brews all of its beer in-house, producing a lineup that spans crisp, easy-drinking lagers to hop-forward ales and rotating seasonal releases, with recipes rooted in classic brewing styles. Alongside its beer program, the venue operates a full food menu built around shareable starters, burgers, and seasonal specials, as well as a bar program offering classic cocktails and non-alcoholic options. The property includes a taproom, an outdoor beer garden, and entertainment amenities such as darts, billiards, and duckpin bowling, positioning it as a multi-use hospitality destination rather than a standalone taproom. The business also hosts private events for parties of 20 or more guests and accommodates dining reservations for larger groups. Old Route 69 Brewery was founded by lifelong friends Billy Watterson and Troy Erickson, who redeveloped the site of the former Cole Motor Sales dealership - a business that had operated in Ada for 113 years before closing in 2019 - along with an adjoining historic Armory Building, into the current brewery and entertainment complex. The head brewer, John Novonty, brings more than 20 years of craft brewing experience to the operation. The company markets itself around a road-trip and car-culture theme, reflected in its name, branding, and messaging. Old Route 69 Brewery serves a regional Northwest Ohio customer base and positions itself as a hometown gathering spot for food, drinks, and entertainment.
