Molecola is an Italian chemical trading and distribution company headquartered in Corsico (Milan), Italy, operating since 1995 in the chemical, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical industries. With roots tracing back to the 1970s, when its founders operated two national depots distributing raw chemical, petrochemical, and vegetable materials, Molecola was among the first Italian companies to handle regenerated solvents, pioneering a culture of solvent recovery and valorization. Formally established in 1995, the company transitioned toward a trading model focused on sourcing raw materials directly from major industry operators to better serve large enterprises. By 2010, organizational growth enabled an expansion of its commercial network into international markets, broadening both the range and volume of products available. Today, Molecola specializes in the trading of chemical and petrochemical solvents, raw materials, and vegetable oils and extracts, serving industries including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, paints and coatings, thinners, adhesives, printing, and mechanical engineering, among others. Its product portfolio includes ketones such as acetone and MEK; aromatics including toluene, xylene, and mineral spirits; esters such as ethyl acetate, methyl acetate, butyl acetate, and isobutyl acetate; alcohols including ethanol, isopropanol (IPA), butanol, and isobutanol; chlorinated solvents such as methylene chloride and DCP dichloropropane; glycols including MEG, DEG, PEG, and DPG; as well as DMF, acetonitrile, tetrahydrofuran (THF), acetic acid, thinner bases, solvent blends, latex (LA and HA grades), and vegetable oils. All products are delivered in bulk via tank trucks (ATB), isotanks, or flexitanks directly from the producer, ensuring the highest quality standards. Each delivery is accompanied by Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Certificates of Analysis (COA). A key differentiator is Molecola's capability to valorize solvent-based waste streams through partnerships with authorized recovery facilities, contributing to solvent regeneration and circular resource use within the chemical supply chain.
