Lewis & Clark Brewing

Lewis & Clark Brewing is a family-owned craft brewery headquartered in Helena, Montana, and is recognized as the largest brewery in the city. Operating for over 20 years, the company has built a reputation for producing award-winning craft beers and seltzers that reflect the spirit and heritage of the American West. As a regional craft beverage producer, the brewery serves both on-premise consumers through its taproom and the broader Montana market through distribution of its packaged products.

The brewery's portfolio includes a range of craft beers spanning traditional and contemporary styles, as well as hard seltzers, catering to the evolving preferences of craft beverage consumers. The taproom is open daily, offering visitors an immersive experience that combines quality craft beverages with a richly historic setting.

The physical brewery itself is a landmark property in Helena, comprising several interconnected buildings with origins dating back to 1885. The site has served many purposes throughout its history — including as a smokehouse built by founding Helena resident T.C. Power, a three-story ice house operated by the Montana Packing & Provisions Company, a seed warehouse, and ultimately the production facility for Columbia Paint, one of Montana's most successful businesses for over 70 years. Lewis & Clark Brewing has carefully preserved the historical character of the property while modernizing the facilities to meet current building codes, making the brewery a destination of both craft beverage and historical interest.

As a long-standing independent craft brewery, Lewis & Clark Brewing represents a significant player in Montana's regional craft beer industry, combining artisanal brewing traditions with a deep connection to local history and community.
