Grandma Hoerners

Grandma Hoerner's is a specialty food brand rooted in American farmhouse tradition, inspired by the life and recipes of Mabel Hoerner, who grew up on a farm in Kansas in the late 1800s. Mabel's family farm included an apple orchard, and she became well known among family and friends for her scratch-made apple sauce featuring thick, chunky slices of fresh apples. That legacy now forms the foundation of a diverse line of small-batch-style specialty food products sold through direct-to-consumer and retail channels.

The brand's flagship product line, Big Slice Apples, carries on Mabel's tradition with old-fashioned apple preparations so chunky they can be eaten with a fork. Available in multiple flavors — including Original, Cinnamon, Cinnamon Candy, Blueberry Pomegranate, and Cinnamon French Toast — these products are slow-cooked with all-natural ingredients and offered in both 19 oz. and 26 oz. jar formats.

Beyond apple products, Grandma Hoerner's offers a broad portfolio of fruit-based spreads and preserves, including organic reduced-sugar preserves, jellies, marmalades, fruit butters, and fruit spreads in varieties such as cherry, apple, and seasonal flavors. The company emphasizes quality fruit sourcing, slow-cooking processes, and clean ingredient standards, with organic options available across select product lines.

The brand also produces a range of specialty condiments and sauces, including chunky garden salsas, BBQ sauces, herb sauces, and unique offerings like Berry Bacon — a sweet-and-spicy blend of berries, jalapeño, and smoky bacon designed for use as a topping on sliders and ribs. Pie fillings round out the savory-to-sweet product range, with offerings including Apple, Cherry, Pecan, and Caramel Maple Pumpkin varieties. The Bourbon Pecan Pie Filling has achieved notable popularity as a viral social media favorite, frequently used on ice cream, cheesecakes, and other desserts.

Additionally, Grandma Hoerner's has extended the brand into home fragrance with its Scents of Her Life candle line, inspired by Mabel Hoerner's memories of farm life. Varieties such as Spring on the Farm bring a lifestyle dimension to the brand beyond food.

The company markets directly to consumers through its own e-commerce platform and supports recipe content to drive product engagement. Its storytelling-driven brand identity, farm heritage positioning, and diverse product assortment make it a distinctive presence in the specialty foods and gifting market.
