Golden Cannoli

Golden Cannoli is a second-generation, family-owned cannoli manufacturing company headquartered in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Founded by Italian immigrant cousins Francesco Bono and Angelo Bresciani, the business traces its roots to the early 1970s when the two entrepreneurs began baking in Boston's North End before opening their first storefront bakery in Arlington, MA. A second location followed in Somerville, MA, and as demand for their cannoli shells and fillings grew beyond retail, they transitioned into wholesale manufacturing by purchasing a dedicated production facility in Somerville. That operation eventually evolved into the company known today as Golden Cannoli Shells Co.

The company operates a 30,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Chelsea, MA, producing a broad range of cannoli products for foodservice, retail, and wholesale markets. Core product lines include traditional cannoli shells, cannoli fillings and creams in multiple varieties, chocolate-covered shells, and cannoli chips. The facility is purpose-built for high-volume cannoli production, enabling the company to serve restaurants, bakeries, and grocery retailers across the United States.

In 2015, Golden Cannoli expanded into the consumer packaged goods retail channel with the launch of The Original Cannoli Chip, a snack product made from traditional Italian cannoli shell dough rolled flat and cut into bite-sized triangles. The product is designed for dipping and snacking and launched in three flavors — powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, and cookies and cream — with a lemon flavor added in 2018. This retail line brought the brand into households nationwide and positioned Golden Cannoli as both a B2B supplier and a consumer-facing brand.

The company is currently led by the second generation of the founding families — cousins Valerie, Maria, Eric, and Edwin — who continue to uphold the quality and innovation standards established over more than five decades. Golden Cannoli holds the Guinness World Record for the world's largest cannolo, set in 2014 at the Feast of Little Italy in Jupiter, Florida, with a 262.5-pound cannolo. The company's longevity, multi-channel distribution, and dedicated manufacturing infrastructure make it a recognized industry leader in Italian specialty dessert products.
