Big Poppa

Big Poppa Liquors is a Miami-based retail bottle shop established in 2024, operating two locations in Miami-Dade County — one on Flagler Street and one on Southwest 56th Street. The shop specializes in curated beer, wine, and spirits, offering a wide-ranging selection that spans everyday value options such as tallboys and lottery tickets to rare, high-end single barrel whiskeys and limited-release bottles. The company differentiates itself from chain retail through a neighborhood-first philosophy, with buyers who are rooted in the local Miami community rather than corporate purchasing teams operating remotely. Its sourcing network is notably broad for an independent retailer, reaching small distilleries in Kentucky, family-run agave producers in Jalisco, Mexico, and boutique vineyards across multiple continents. Big Poppa Liquors positions itself as a full-service bottle shop catering to a diverse local clientele, from casual walk-in customers seeking cold beer to serious collectors hunting allocated or rare spirits. The shop also offers a special-order service for customers seeking items not currently stocked on its shelves, reflecting a customer-service orientation uncommon in independent retail. As a neighborhood-centric retailer, the company emphasizes accessibility, inclusivity of budget ranges, and personalized service as its core brand values.
