Barrel One Collective is a craft beer holding company formed on December 31, 2024, through the merger of Mass. Bay Brewing Company and FinestKind Brewing LLC — two of New England's longest-standing and most influential craft brewing enterprises. Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, with additional offices in Hampton, NH and Windsor, VT, the collective represents the largest craft beer producer in New England and ranks among the top 15 craft producers in the United States by volume, with a combined annual production of nearly 165,000 barrels. The company operates nine brewery-taproom locations across four states — Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and Vermont — including facilities in Boston, Westminster, Worcester, North Hampton, Brooklyn, Windsor, and Bridgewater Corners, with a Manchester, NH location slated to open in spring 2025. Barrel One Collective houses 15 distinct brands under one platform, combining over 75 years of collective craft brewing expertise. Brands under its umbrella include Harpoon, UFO, Long Trail, Clown Shoes, Otter Creek, Catamount, The Shed, Dunkin' Spiked, Italian Ice, Smuttynose, Wachusett, and Five Boroughs Brewing. Mass. Bay Brewing Company, one of the founding entities, holds historic Brewing Permit #001 in the state of Massachusetts and was established in 1986. FinestKind Brewing, the other founding entity, is anchored by Smuttynose Brewing Co., New Hampshire's original craft brewery, founded in 1994 on a historic 14-acre farm in Hampton, NH. The collective's portfolio spans a wide range of craft beer styles and beverage categories, with production facilities that include state-of-the-art brewery infrastructure, tasting rooms, beer gardens, brewpubs, and retail storefronts.
