Aviation American Gin is a premium American gin brand co-owned by actor Ryan Reynolds and distributed by Diageo, one of the world's largest spirits companies. The brand produces a distinctly crafted American-style gin that deliberately balances botanical flavors in a way that sets it apart from more juniper-forward London Dry gins, offering a smoother, more approachable flavor profile for both sipping neat and mixing in cocktails.

The production process is rooted in a proprietary maceration recipe using a carefully curated blend of seven botanicals: cardamom, coriander, French lavender, anise seed, sarsaparilla, juniper, and two types of orange peel. This combination is designed to create a pure medley of botanical flavor that differentiates Aviation from traditional gin expressions. The production follows a meticulous four-step process beginning with an 18-hour infusion of botanicals suspended in neutral grain spirit within dedicated macerating tanks.

Following infusion, the macerate is transferred to a still where steam-jacket heating drives vapors into a condenser, producing the gin distillate. A carefully monitored cut process then separates the heads, heart, and tails of the spirit run — a process lasting approximately seven hours — resulting in a heart cut at 142 proof. The heart cut is subsequently transferred to a blending tank where pure water is added to bring the final product to 84 proof (42% Alc/Vol), after which the gin proceeds through a full bottling line for filling, capping, labeling, and case packing.

Aviation American Gin is bottled as a 100% grain neutral spirit-based gin and is positioned in the premium spirits segment, targeting both on-premise cocktail culture and at-home mixology enthusiasts. The brand emphasizes versatility, marketing the product as smooth enough to be consumed on its own while also being well-suited as a base spirit for a wide range of cocktails. Distribution is handled through Diageo's extensive retail and wholesale network, making the product available through both local brick-and-mortar retailers and online spirits platforms across the United States.
