Catalina Snacks®, a leading innovator redefining better-for-you cereals and snacks, today announces the appointment of Charlotte Mostaed as Chief Marketing Officer. Mostaed joins Catalina Snacks at a pivotal point in the company’s growth as the brand continues to expand its portfolio with new flavors and formats, including the recently launched Snack Size Multipacks and continued retail expansion, as Catalina Crunch is available in more than 30,000 retailers nationwide.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Mostaed will lead Catalina Snacks’ marketing organization and spearhead commercial and marketing strategies to further expand the brand’s reach, strengthen its market presence and drive consumer engagement. She will oversee brand and creative, category management, consumer insights, direct-to-consumer and omnichannel efforts, while leading the company’s upcoming marketing initiatives.
Mostaed joins Catalina Snacks with extensive experience building and scaling consumer brands. Most recently, she served as Chief Marketing Officer at Health-Ade Kombucha, where she led brand marketing, e-commerce and direct-to-consumer, consumer insights, innovation, media, and creative. During her tenure, she helped double the business’s revenue by expanding household penetration to millions of additional consumers, propelling Health-Ade to become the nation’s No. 2 kombucha brand and a significant driver of category growth. She also built a repeatable growth engine that helped position the company for its successful acquisition by Generous Brands.
"Charlotte joins us at exactly the right moment," said Doug Behrens, CEO of Catalina Snacks. "As we scale beyond 30,000 retail doors and continue to expand our portfolio, we need a marketer who's built this kind of growth engine before - and that's exactly what she did at Health-Ade. She has a rare ability to turn consumer insight into brand momentum, and I'm confident she'll help us accelerate our growth, strengthen our connection and expand Catalina’s audiences.”
“Catalina Crunch has built an incredible brand at the intersection of taste, nutrition and a clear consumer need, with tremendous opportunity still ahead,” said Charlotte Mostaed, CMO of Catalina Snacks. “I’m excited to join the team at this pivotal stage of growth and build on that momentum by expanding how we connect with consumers, strengthening our brand storytelling and reaching new audiences. There’s so much potential to take Catalina Crunch even further, and I’m thrilled to help shape the next chapter of the brand”
Earlier in her career, Mostaed held senior marketing roles at POM Wonderful and Procter & Gamble, leading brand strategy, innovation and go-to-market programs for major national and global brands. Throughout her career, she has focused on developing innovative, consumer-led growth strategies, building high-performing teams and translating consumer insights into brand growth. Mostaed was also named to Ad Age’s 40 Under 40 in 2023.
