Seasonal Flavor Release Coincides with Brand’s Deepened Partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation
(LOS ANGELES) September 23, 2026 — Taste Salud, the Latino-founded health-focused powdered drink mix brand, is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) with the return of its Hydration + Immunity: Churro flavor. The re-release of the seasonal flavor takes place alongside a renewed commitment to investing in Hispanic communities and entrepreneurs through an ongoing partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF).
Consumers can enjoy the nostalgic, cinnamon-sugar taste of churros with 2-in-1 benefits for hydration and immunity. Each serving provides 400+ mg of electrolytes, 250 mg of Wellmune®, 100 mg of elderberry, and essential vitamins, creating a functional, health-forward beverage that reflects the brand.
"The Churro flavor quickly became a fan-favorite following its launch last year, and we’re excited to revive this flavor that symbolizes culture, tradition, and community," said Josh Leyva, co-founder of Taste Salud. "What makes this year’s celebration even more meaningful is the treasured partnership we get to build upon with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation."
On Sept. 19, Taste Salud hosted Churros for a Cause, donating 100% of the day's online sales to the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. Following last year's $50,000 contribution, Taste Salud committed a donation of $75,000 to the Hispanic Heritage Foundation in 2026, providing even more financial support for programs that empower Hispanic communities nationwide.
The brand is also opening applications for the 2027 Taste Salud Entrepreneurship Award, which provides a $10,000 grant toward a recipient's college education. The grant, presented in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, was previously awarded to the inaugural 2026 winner, Santiago Bryce, who is now beginning his studies at the University of Notre Dame.
"Our collaboration with Taste Salud shows what a partnership rooted in cultural pride and shared purpose can accomplish," said Antonio Tijerino, president and chief executive officer at Hispanic Heritage Foundation. "As we work together to invest in the Hispanic community’s well-being and economic prosperity, we are eager to see the even greater impact this year will bring."
On Sept. 26, at the Mexico vs. Colombia international soccer friendly at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD, the Churros for a Cause donation will be presented to HHF President and CEO Antonio Tijerino by Josh Leyva and fellow Taste Salud Co-Founder Tyler McCann. Taste Salud's Churro flavor is now available for online purchase on their website and on the brand’s TikTok Shop while supplies last.
