CARMEL, CA. (August 2026) - Breakin Snacks, the real-food snack brand behind a Good Housekeeping 2025 Best Snack Award, is renaming its Granola Bites to Oat Clusters and launching Brownie Batter, a new flavor alongside Dark Chocolate Peanut.

Founder Nicole Prades said the name created the wrong picture: crunchy, sugary, loose granola, for a chewy, cookie-like snack with protein and fiber you eat out of the bag.

“When I said granola bites, people already had an idea in their head, and it wasn’t us,” said Prades. “We’re calling them what they are: Oat Clusters.”

Breakin Oat Clusters are baked with gluten-free oats and egg white protein and sweetened with dates and honey, with no refined sugar. The texture is cookie-like: a little crunch on the outside, chewy in the center. The recipe has also been slightly improved with the new name.

Brownie Batter Oat Clusters are available now at breakinsnacks.com. Dark Chocolate Peanut Oat Clusters packaging will roll out as existing inventory sells through.

Breakin Oat Clusters are sold on Amazon, in independent retail, and in travel retail, including San Francisco International Airport.
