The new Longmont operation helps food, beverage, supplement, pet, and other Lifestyle CPG brands launch faster and scale production through a single packaging ecosystem.
LONGMONT, Colo. — [August 10, 2026] — Vert has launched a new digitally enabled packaging manufacturing facility in Longmont, Colorado, expanding domestic production capacity designed for CPG brands navigating rapid growth, evolving forecasts, and increasing pressure to innovate faster.
The facility brings digitally printed pouches, roll stock, and labeling production together under one roof, giving brands a faster path from concept to shelf while reducing the complexity of managing multiple packaging suppliers as they grow.
Across CPG, product innovation is moving faster. New flavors, seasonal releases, retailer resets, limited runs, and changing demand require packaging supply chains that can adapt just as quickly. At the same time, brands are under pressure to preserve working capital, avoid excess inventory, and make smarter production decisions as forecasts evolve.
Vert built its Longmont operation with those realities in mind.
Powered by HP Indigo digital print technology, the Longmont facility was designed to extend the advantages of digital printing beyond traditional short-run applications into medium- and longer-run production. The operation gives CPG brands greater flexibility across production volumes, supporting short runs and rapid artwork changes as well as larger-volume programs that benefit from faster replenishment cycles and the ability to adapt production as demand evolves.
The facility produces stand-up pouches, roll stock, labels, stick packs, sachets, folding cartons, child-resistant certified packaging, and other custom packaging formats for brands across natural food and beverage, sports nutrition, supplements, pet, cannabis, and other Lifestyle CPG categories.
“Traditional packaging supply chains were built around predictability and volume. CPG today increasingly demands speed, flexibility, and the ability to respond as products and forecasts change,” said Dustin Steerman, Founder and CEO of Vert. “We built the Longmont facility around that reality. Brands should be able to launch quickly, adapt production as demand evolves, and scale without rebuilding their packaging supply chain every step of the way.”
Vert developed its operating model serving highly regulated cannabis markets, where compressed timelines, frequent product changes, complex SKU portfolios, and high-touch customer support are common. The company is now applying that same model across the broader Lifestyle CPG market.
The Longmont facility anchors Vert’s hybrid manufacturing model, combining domestic digital production across a broad range of run sizes with an established global manufacturing network for programs where volume, economics, or production requirements favor conventional manufacturing. The model allows brands to match each project with the right production path while managing both through a single packaging partner.
“The right production strategy isn’t always digital and it isn’t always conventional,” said Steerman. “It depends on the product, volume, timeline, and economics of each program. We built Vert to give brands access to both, with one team helping determine the right production path as those needs change.”
