E&A Scheer Appoints Mitch Wilson as Head of Global Rum Development

The newly created role reflects the company’s continued investment in premium Rum, strengthening commercial development, bespoke product creation and category education across the E&A Scheer Group

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS (Monday, August 3, 2026) – E&A Scheer, the global Rum specialist and supplier, has appointed one of the Rum industry’s most respected figures, Mitch Wilson, as Head of Global Rum Development, a newly created role that reflects the company’s ambition to further strengthen the support it provides to customers worldwide.

Wilson joins E&A Scheer with nearly 15 years of experience in the premium Rum category, including international ambassador roles with Maison Ferrand and Black Tot Rum. Based in Amsterdam, he will lead the commercial growth of the group’s single cask programme, support bespoke Rum projects and help expand category education as part of E&A Scheer’s commercial team.
