Pioneer of the Chlorophyll Category Expands Sustainable Online Grocery Footprint With New Aluminum Can Format
NEW YORK, NY — Chlorophyll Water, pioneer of the chlorophyll category and the first bottled water in the United States to pass Clean Label Project Certification, has launched its new 16 oz “Chlorophyll in a Can” on Misfits Market, the online grocery platform focused on making high-quality groceries more accessible while helping create a more sustainable food system.
The launch introduces Chlorophyll Water’s new aluminum can format to Misfits Market customers nationwide, expanding the brand’s presence across better-for-you retail, e-commerce, social commerce and grocery delivery channels.
Misfits Market offers a full online grocery experience centered around quality, value, sustainability and product discovery. The platform works with farmers, producers and emerging brands to help reduce inefficiencies within the food system while conveniently delivering groceries directly to customers’ homes.
“We’re incredibly excited to introduce ‘Chlorophyll in a Can’ to Misfits Market customers,” said Matt Levine, Founder of Chlorophyll Water. “Misfits Market has built a powerful platform for consumers who care about product quality, convenience and sustainability. Launching our new 16 oz can with Misfits Market gives us the opportunity to introduce this new format to consumers who are actively looking for innovative, better-for-you products that align with their lifestyles and values.”
Chlorophyll Water is ultra-purified water enhanced with chlorophyll from alfalfa and fortified with essential vitamins A, B12, C and D. Known for its crisp, refreshing taste with subtle notes of lemon and spearmint, Chlorophyll Water delivers plant-powered hydration in a convenient, ready-to-drink format.
The new 16 oz “Chlorophyll in a Can” expands Chlorophyll Water’s packaging portfolio and provides consumers with another convenient way to enjoy the brand at home, at work, while traveling or on the go.
The brand’s complete product lineup also includes its original 16.9 oz and 1-liter bottles, both made from 100% recycled plastic and featuring CleanFlake label technology. The technology is designed to support the PET recycling process by allowing labels and adhesive to separate cleanly from bottles during recycling.
Chlorophyll Water has also partnered with rePurpose Global to help fund the recovery of plastic waste from the environment. For every bottle sold, the equivalent of one plastic bottle is recovered from ocean-bound waste streams.
“Sustainability has always been at the core of Chlorophyll Water,” Levine added. “Our goal is to make Clean Label, functional hydration more accessible while continually improving the sustainability of our packaging. From bottles made with 100% recycled plastic and CleanFlake label technology, to our partnership with rePurpose Global and now the introduction of ‘Chlorophyll in a Can,’ we are continuing to give consumers more ways to experience Chlorophyll Water.”
As a pioneer in the chlorophyll category, Chlorophyll Water is positioned at the center of a fast-growing consumer movement surrounding functional, plant-powered hydration. The chlorophyll market is projected to grow 56% faster than the coconut water market and 40% faster than the bottled water market by 2030.
The Misfits Market launch comes as Chlorophyll Water continues to experience strong momentum across retail, e-commerce and social commerce. The brand was recently ranked in the Top 1% on TikTok Shop and recognized as one of the platform’s leading Food & Beverage Shops, placing #203 in Total GMV and #208 in Video GMV on TikTok Shop’s “Top 5,000 Food & Beverage Shops” list.
