Wrecking Bar Brewpub

Wrecking Bar Brewpub is a distinctive Atlanta-based brewery and restaurant housed in a late Victorian building that has served multiple purposes throughout its history, including as a home, church, dance studio, and architectural salvage store. The establishment has become a cornerstone of the neighborhood, focusing on comfortable atmosphere, clean and exciting locally sourced food, an extensive bar program, and excellent beer crafted in-house. The brewery operates on a 7-barrel system under the direction of Head Brewer Tim Schiavone, who runs a beer program that focuses on perfecting classic styles such as Helles, Pilsner, ESB, IPA, barrel-aged strong beer, and session styles. This classic lineup is balanced with more experimental styles including fruited goses and farmhouse ales. Over the past 15 years, they have developed a comprehensive barrel aging program, aging stouts, barleywines, and scotch ales in bourbon and rum barrels to enhance the beers' best characteristics. Their dedication to quality has been recognized with a Silver Medal in Barrel Aged Strong Ales at the Great American Beer Festival for their Willett Bourbon Barrel Aged Ye Old Sprinklerhead Barleywine. The food program emphasizes fresh farm-to-table flavors while staying rooted in pub classics, sourcing from local bakeries, dairies, and farms to support the local economy and build community relationships. The menu maintains several classics while regularly changing to reflect seasonal produce and flavors at their peak. The establishment features three distinct event spaces: The Biergarten (brewery warehouse space accommodating up to 50 seated or 80 standing guests), The Marianna (formal event space on the main floor holding up to 120 seated or 250 standing guests with elegant features like 13-foot ceilings and stained glass windows), and The Cellar (private dining space for up to 20 guests). They host their annual Georgia Strong Beer Festival and offer private dinner parties during holiday seasons. The brewpub has been voted the top brewpub in Atlanta for multiple years and maintains an active social media presence to keep customers informed about beer releases, food specials, and event updates.
