Uhlorn Family Farms is a regenerative agriculture operation located in Cottonwood, Idaho, specializing in the production of high-quality grains, legumes, and oilseeds. The family-owned farm, now in its fifth generation of operation, grows a diverse range of crops including wheat, barley, oats, chickpeas, peas, lentils, canola, sunflowers, and wine grapes using sustainable regenerative farming practices. Founded by Johann Uhlorn who immigrated from Germany in 1845, the farm has a rich heritage spanning over 175 years of continuous operation. Current operators Darrel and Brent Uhlorn formed Uhlorn Family Farms LLC in 2018, continuing the family tradition of sustainable agriculture. The farm operates a direct-to-consumer market offering fresh grains, flours, and seasonal honey produced from their own canola fields. They are committed to supporting local agriculture and actively participate in educational initiatives, offering farm tours to teach people about farming practices and food production. The farm is also involved in various agricultural organizations promoting local farming industry development.
