Tettnanger Hopfen

HPV Tettnang e.V. is a growers' association representing hop producers in Tettnang, Germany's southernmost hop-growing region, situated between the northern shores of Lake Constance (Bodensee) and the Allgäu. The organization promotes and markets Tettnanger hops, a highly regarded variety of aroma hops known for their distinctively fine, delicate, and spicy flavor profile — often described as a noble aromatic symphony — making them a benchmark ingredient in the premium beer segment.

Tettnanger hops are cultivated with a strong emphasis on traditional craftsmanship and environmentally conscious farming practices. The unique microclimate and landscape of the Tettnang region are credited with producing hops of exceptional quality, characterized by a subtle bitterness and a particularly refined aromatic character that brewmasters around the world prize. The region's hops have earned a reputation as a 'fine delicatessen' ingredient within the global craft and premium brewing industry.

The association serves as a central point of contact for breweries, malthouses, and hop traders seeking to source authentic Tettnanger aroma hops. Their product is positioned specifically for the premium beer market, appealing to master brewers who demand the highest quality aromatic raw materials. The organization also serves an educational and promotional role, providing resources about hop cultivation, the distinctive characteristics of Tettnang-grown hops, and the broader hop culture of the region.

As a registered association (e.V.), HPV Tettnang represents the collective interests of its member growers, working to maintain the quality standards and regional identity that distinguish Tettnanger hops in the global marketplace. Their activities support both commercial sourcing inquiries and consumer education around one of Germany's most storied hop-growing traditions.
