Rodeo Cold Beer

Rodeo Cold is an American craft beer brand that has been brewing lager-style beers since 1996. Originally launched under Heritage Brewery with production facilities in Dubuque, Iowa and Modesto, California, the brand has built a loyal following around its approachable, everyday drinking profile. Rodeo Cold positions itself as a blue-collar, celebration-oriented beer brand with deep ties to the American rodeo culture and lifestyle, sponsoring events such as the Senior Rodeo Finals in Reno, Nevada, the Gary Hart Memorial Rodeo in Payson, Arizona, the White Deer Rodeo in White Deer, Texas, the United States Armed Forces National Finals in Midland, Texas, and the Grand Canyon Professional Rodeo Association Finals in Fort Mohave, Arizona. The brand also served as the official beer sponsor of WESA and the Denver International Western, English & Tack Show.

The core product line, known as 'The Three Amigos,' consists of three distinct beers: Rodeo Cold American Lager, Rodeo Cold Light, and Rodeo Cold Red Ale, the latter two introduced in 2024 as part of a nationwide expansion effort. The flagship American Lager is brewed with a blend of U.S. Magnum Hops and U.S. Fuggle Hops, sourced from American farms, and is crafted with corn to produce a clean, flavorful finish. With an ABV of 4.5% and an IBU of 12, it is designed for everyday drinkability without extreme or novelty flavor additions. The brewing process involves fermentation at 55 degrees Fahrenheit for one week, followed by a lagering period of at least two additional weeks, ensuring a smooth and consistent product.

The brand achieved early international distribution in 1998, reaching France and 11 other countries, demonstrating early ambitions beyond the domestic market. A renewed focus on craft quality came in 2013 with the addition of Brew Master Rich Weber and participation in the Get Crafty Beer Festival in Phoenix, Arizona. Rodeo Cold continues to expand its retail and on-premise distribution across the United States, targeting bars, taprooms, casinos, and event venues. Consumer testimonials highlight the beer's drinkability and flavor profile, with placements at venues including Prison Hill Brewing Company, Sierra Blanca Brewing Beer Garden, Cowboy Pizza, and Mountain Top Taproom.
