River St Joe

River Saint Joe is a farmstead brewery and destination venue located on Flatwater Farms in Southwest Michigan. The operation integrates agriculture and craft beverage production, growing hops and a rotating selection of crops on-site to supply its brewing and culinary programs. The farm also maintains a kitchen and brewmaster's garden, honey bees, a young orchard, and sheep, creating a fully immersive farm-to-glass experience rooted in the land and local ecosystem.

On the beverage side, River Saint Joe produces a diverse portfolio of craft drinks including farmhouse ales, hop-forward beers, wild and mixed culture fermentation projects, low-ABV quenchers, wine, cider, non-alcoholic beverages, and botanical elixirs. The use of on-farm grown hops and locally sourced ingredients distinguishes its products from conventional craft breweries, positioning the brand firmly within the farmstead and artisan beverage segment.

The farm's alluvial soil is managed through regenerative and sustainable organic practices aimed at continually enriching the land. This commitment to responsible land stewardship informs both the agricultural and brewing operations, with an emphasis on celebrating the natural bounty of the Southwest Michigan and Michiana region. Locally grown and farm-fresh food is served on-site, designed to complement the beverage offerings and reflect the seasonal rhythms of the farm.

As a destination, River Saint Joe functions as a hospitality and events venue capable of hosting festivals, private events, community gatherings, and other occasions. The scenic setting at Flatwater Farms provides an expansive backdrop for memorable experiences, with farm-fresh food and craft beverages at the center of the guest experience. The operation is built around the concept of bringing people together through connections to the land, local food systems, and community engagement.

Named after the St. Joseph River — the third longest river in Michigan — the brand draws on a strong sense of regional identity and place. River Saint Joe appeals to consumers and event planners seeking authentic, locally rooted farm experiences combined with high-quality artisan beverages and farm-to-table cuisine.
