Pompeian

Pompeian is a heritage American food brand founded in 1906, specializing in the production and marketing of premium olive oils, vinegars, grapeseed oil, and cooking sprays for retail consumers. With over a century of expertise in sourcing and crafting olive oil, the company has established itself as one of the most recognized olive oil brands in the United States, operating under the positioning of being 'the Olive Oil People.' Pompeian sources its olives directly from farms, maintaining a grove-to-table supply chain that emphasizes quality, authenticity, and flavor integrity across its full product portfolio. The company's core product line centers on a wide range of olive oils, including extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), robust and smooth varieties, and its 'Made Easy' line designed to simplify consumer purchasing decisions by offering use-case-specific varieties tailored to specific cooking applications such as sautéing, roasting, dressing, and finishing. Pompeian also produces organic olive oil options, extending its reach to health-conscious consumers seeking certified organic products. Beyond olive oil, Pompeian has leveraged its oil crafting expertise to develop a line of gourmet vinegars, including both conventional and organic varieties. These vinegars are positioned as complementary to its olive oil range and are crafted with the same standards of quality and flavor. The brand's grapeseed oil rounds out its cooking oil offerings, providing a higher smoke point alternative suitable for high-heat cooking applications. Pompeian's cooking spray category features a distinctive propellant-free pouch-and-can system that prevents oil from mixing with chemicals, protects against sunlight and oxygen exposure, and eliminates product waste. Available in grapeseed oil, organic robust EVOO, coconut oil, and avocado oil varieties, this line addresses both everyday cooking functionality and consumer demand for cleaner ingredient profiles. The company's products are sold primarily through retail grocery channels and are targeted at home cooks seeking healthy, high-quality cooking oils and condiments. Pompeian's long-standing heritage, farm-sourcing model, and broad product range position it as a leading supplier in the olive oil and specialty cooking oil category within the consumer packaged goods industry.
