Luke's Local

Luke's Local is a San Francisco-based neighborhood grocery market chain operating four retail locations across the city, in Cole Valley, Cow Hollow, North Beach, and Inner Sunset. The company positions itself as a community-focused purveyor of high-quality groceries and restaurant-quality prepared meals, emphasizing locally sourced, organic, and sustainably farmed products. Luke's Local caters to urban consumers who prioritize food transparency, quality sourcing, and supporting local producers and economies.

The company curates its product selection with a strong emphasis on knowing the origin of the food it sells, spending considerable effort vetting suppliers so that customers can trust the quality and sourcing integrity of every item on its shelves. This commitment to thoughtful sourcing extends across all departments, including a butcher counter, fresh produce, and floral offerings, providing shoppers with a traditional neighborhood market experience anchored in quality and community connection.

Beyond its brick-and-mortar presence, Luke's Local offers same-day grocery delivery through Instacart, extending its reach to customers who prefer the convenience of home delivery without sacrificing access to quality local and organic products. Additionally, the company provides seasonal catering services available seven days a week, rounding out its offering for both everyday consumers and event-driven occasions.

Luke's Local is guided by a defined set of core values that shape its business practices. These include a commitment to integrity in sourcing and operations, environmental stewardship through support of organic and sustainable farming, and a strong stance on diversity, equity, and inclusion with concrete commitments to supporting BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women, and other underrepresented communities. Financial sustainability and entrepreneurial culture are also central to how the organization operates and plans for long-term growth. The company serves as both a retail destination and a community anchor across multiple San Francisco neighborhoods.
