Foley Family Wines & Spirits (FFWS) is one of the world's largest producers of fine wine and spirits, founded in 1996 by Bill and Carol Foley with the acquisition of 1,000 acres in the Sta. Rita Hills region of Santa Barbara County. What began as a hand-crafted Chardonnay and Pinot Noir operation at Lincourt Vineyards has grown over nearly three decades into a globally diversified portfolio encompassing more than 25 wineries and distilleries across some of the world's most prestigious viticultural and distilling regions. Headquartered in the United States, the company operates estate wineries across California's most celebrated appellations, including Sonoma County, Napa Valley, the Central Coast, and Monterey County, as well as properties in Oregon, Washington State, and internationally in New Zealand, France, Argentina, Scotland, Ireland, and Texas. The California portfolio includes highly acclaimed brands such as Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery, Chalk Hill Estate Winery, Sebastiani, Roth Estate, Banshee, Chateau St. Jean, Lancaster, Merus, Silverado, Foley Johnson, Lincourt, Firestone, Foley Estates, and Chalone Vineyard. In the Pacific Northwest, the company manages Four Graces and Acrobat in Oregon and Three Rivers in Washington State. International wine holdings include Lucien Albrecht in France's Alsace region, Nieto Senetiner in Argentina, and 14 wine brands spanning New Zealand's Marlborough, Central Otago, and Martinborough wine regions. The spirits division has expanded aggressively to include Minden Mill Distilling in the Nevada High Desert, Charles Goodnight Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Lighthouse Gin from New Zealand, El Mexicano Tequila, The Loch Lomond Group in Scotland, Two Stacks Irish Whisky, and Killowen Irish whiskey. Each estate and distillery within the FFWS portfolio maintains its own distinct winemaking or distilling philosophy, legacy, and hospitality offering, ranging from Italianate tasting rooms and underground cellars to vineyard terrace experiences. The company specializes in classic Bordeaux varietals, cool-climate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and a growing range of premium spirits categories including bourbon, gin, tequila, and Scotch whisky. FFWS targets the premium and ultra-premium wine and spirits segments and distributes its brands nationally and internationally through established wholesale and import channels.
