Earthly Labs, now a Chart Industries company, specializes in small-scale carbon capture technology designed to capture carbon dioxide waste from smaller emission sources including businesses, homes, and transportation. Founded in 2016 by Amy George and selected as a Carbon XPrize finalist, the company's vision is to capture and avoid 1 billion metric tons of CO2 from small scale emission sources. Their flagship CiCi® CO2 capture technology offers a complete solution including CO2 capture hardware, software, installation, and remote monitoring services. The technology captures, purifies, monitors and recycles CO2 to keep it out of the atmosphere while converting waste molecules to value. Initially focused on craft breweries for CO2 recovery and reuse, Earthly Labs has expanded to serve wineries, distilleries, and other industrial applications. The company was selected for the ABInBev 100+ sustainability accelerator in 2018 and has deployed CiCi systems at craft breweries throughout the US. In 2020, they demonstrated the ability for breweries to capture and sell excess CO2, providing new revenue streams. Featured in major media outlets including CNN, The Washington Post, Gasworld, Wine Spectator and Brewbound, the company has expanded its CO2 applications across multiple industries. With more operating small scale systems than anyone in the world powered by a real-time IOT software network, Earthly Labs continues to expand globally to meet customer needs across various industries and countries. Notable clients include Opus One Winery, Alchemist Brewery, Maine Beer Company, and Bellwoods Brewery. The company also partners with Bloom Energy for carbon-free power generation using natural gas and fuel cells.
