At our origin, Carolina Innovative Food Ingredients (CIFI) set out to fix two problems: North Carolina farmers had an abundance of sweet potatoes not cosmetically suitable for grocery store sale, and the food industry lacked a supplier of high-quality sweet potato ingredients grown and processed in the United States.

With a major agricultural company supporting us, we hired a team and built a state-of-the-art facility in Nash County, North Carolina—America’s sweet potato country.

We enhanced our sweet potato expertise by collaborating with researchers from North Carolina State University to develop a process for producing healthy, delicious ingredients, including sweet potato juice concentrate, single-strength sweet potato juice, dehydrated sweet potato granules, and dehydrated sweet potato flour.

Our products can displace high fructose corn syrup and other artificial ingredients to support clean labels and a stronger transparency story.
