Cardboard Cutout Standees

Cardboard Cutout Standees is a Wisconsin-based specialty printing and manufacturing company that has been producing custom large-format printed products since 2016. Founded by two former college roommates, Jay and Jason, the company grew organically from a lighthearted personal project into a full-scale operation that has produced over 500,000 custom cutouts. The company operates under the domain cardboardcutoutstandees.com and serves both consumer and commercial markets across the United States.

The core product line includes custom life-size cardboard cutout standees, tabletop standees, big head cutouts, head-in-hole boards, wall murals, and wall decals. Products are manufactured using three primary substrate options: 1/8-inch corrugated cardboard, 3/16-inch foam board, and 3/16-inch corrugated plastic, allowing customers to select the material best suited to their application and budget. All printing is done digitally using UV-resistant inks that provide vibrant, lifelike color reproduction while resisting fading over time. The finished surface features a smooth, semi-glossy, non-reflective finish that enhances visual impact without glare.

Wall murals are produced using high-quality custom-printed wallpaper, while wall decals are made from die-cut vinyl. The company handles image processing in-house, professionally optimizing submitted artwork to meet customer specifications and proactively communicating with clients when adjustments are needed. In the event of installation damage to a mural or decal, the company offers free replacement, underscoring its customer service commitment.

Target markets span a wide range of use cases including event décor (birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, anniversaries), retail and promotional displays, sports fan merchandise, photo booth setups, office and room decoration, and branded marketing activations. The combination of personalization, material variety, and fast turnaround positions the company as a versatile supplier for both individual consumers and businesses seeking promotional or decorative printed products.

As a small, family-and-friends-staffed operation, Cardboard Cutout Standees emphasizes craftsmanship and quality control at every stage of production. The company touts some of the fastest turnaround times and highest print quality in the custom standee segment, along with top-rated customer service. Its self-described status as a one-stop shop reflects its broad product offering across multiple substrates and product types within the large-format custom printing niche.
