Acetaia Sereni is a four-generation family estate based in Marano sul Panaro, in the hills of Modena, Italy, specializing in the artisan production of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and a range of premium balsamic condiments. Operating under the proprietary territory designation 'AltaModena®,' the estate sits at approximately 300 meters above sea level in the town of Villabianca, within a microclimate characterized by biodiversity, olive groves, hazelnut groves, extensive forest, and privately owned vineyards — all free from industrial pollution. This unique environment plays a central role in the natural production and ageing of their vinegars, a process that has remained rooted in tradition for over a century.

The company's production model is fully vertically integrated: the entire cycle, from cultivating owned vineyards to cooking the grape must, ageing in prestigious wooden barrels, and final bottling, takes place on the estate. Balsamic Vinegar products are aged for a minimum of 60 days and up to more than 25 years, depending on the designation and quality tier, yielding a spectrum of products ranging from everyday condiments to rare, long-aged traditional expressions. In addition to balsamic vinegar, the estate also produces Extra Virgin Olive Oil from its own olive groves.

The Sereni family's commercial roots trace back to Attilio and his son Pier Luigi, who expanded production and began marketing their first balsamic products. Pier Luigi was notably a founding member of the Consortium for Protection of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, underscoring the family's deep institutional ties to the denomination and its quality standards. He and his wife Elisabetta were pioneers in exporting bottles of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena to international markets. Today, the fourth generation — Umberto, Francesco, and Federica — continues to lead the business with a commitment to quality over quantity.
